Clearance Level 3
Contained Anomaly: CTA-004
Object Class: Impetus
Containment Procedures: The area around CTA-004 is to be routinely patrolled by Corporation MF-11-X52 "Techies." In the event of digital disturbances affecting the local population, the population is to be administered with amnestics and is to have their digital technology removed or rewired. Testing on CTA-004 using digital technology is only permitted with 3/5 approval from the Corporation Security Council.
In the event of a manifestation of CTA-004-1, all affected viewers are to be placed in quarantine immediately and given a mental evaluation before returning to their duties.
Description: CTA-004 is a large digital broadcast tower measuring almost 280 meters tall and 2-3 meters wide. It is located between 10-30 miles outside the area of ███████, California. It is unknown when the tower first appeared, but it is believed to have been broadcasting digital signals since 2009 AD.
When any piece of digital technology, such as television, mobile phones, or radios are placed within the range of CTA-004 (believed to be within 150-300 miles), the technology will receive varying levels of disturbance originating from CTA-004. The disturbances generally include:
- Cryptic messages
- Disturbing/gross imagery
- Corrupted children's movies/TV
- Nonsensical text
In most cases, usually after around 10-20 minutes of disturbances, a cognitohazardous entity known as CTA-004-1 will manifest within the disturbance. The entity, when viewed, inflicts severe mental distortion upon the viewer. The viewer, now designated CTA-004-2, will often develop inexplicable episodes of rage, psychosis, and aggression after around 4-5 minutes of viewing. Once CTA-004-1 has manifested, it will not disappear unless the CTA-004-2 instance is killed, or the piece of technology it manifested in is destroyed. Disabling the power supply of the device will not affect CTA-004-1's presence within it, unless the aforementioned conditions are met.
Addendum CTA-004.1: Video disturbances manifested by CTA-004.

00:24:17 The video inexplicably cuts out. At this point the viewers begin to feel intense nausea and begin vomiting, while others feel intense feelings of dread, one reporting that they feel as if they were "being watched."
