Contained Anomaly: CTA-016

Containment Procedures: The current location of CTA-016 is unknown. Monthly searches are to be carried out for an individual named “Komrad Tarashook”. If located CTA-016|1 is to be contained in the nearest temporary containment site, interrogated and terminated.

Description: CTA-016 is a phenomenon (CODE:BLU EVENT) that occurs once per 15 years. A CTA-016|1 instance will appear and swap with the current “Komrad Tarashook”. Once terminated the original “Komrad Tarashook” will reappear with no memory of the event.
CTA-16|1 is an entity that manifests during a CODE:BLUE event. The entity insists that it is “Komrad Tarashook” from another reality. To date there have been 3 CODE:BLU events.

I walked through the white corridor, the stomps of my shoes echoing amidst the perfect white walls. I stopped for a moment glanced at my SCP Foundation ID. Level 2 Senior Janitor, Komrad Tarashook.
I sighed. When my father invited me to the Foundation, I thought I would get a high position, like a containment specialist for example. I was always obsessed with helping my father in containing anomalies. But he put me as a janitor- a low level crappy job.

I slammed the card on the scanner, it did a cold “beep” noise. I watched as the enormous rusty doors moved out of my way…

“Ah here’s Dr Komrad!”
I looked around. Dr Degger and few other technical staff were looking at me, as if I was their saviour or something. “Stop mocking me you bastard” I thought. This was the Dr Deggers usual joke, he thought that mocking me was hilarious.
“Well let’s start the test on CTA-023 Dr Komrad” he said in a serious tone. I looked at him confused with anger. “What’s a CTA?” I thought.
“Dr Degger could you stop mocking me?” I muttered.
“Mocking you?”
“Yes.”
“Could you explain?”
“You keep calling me Dr Komrad”
“I don’t see the problem in that Doctor”
I looked at him wide-eyed. “No seriously sto-“ I caught a glimpse of my reflection on the test room security glass. It was me though there was something wrong.
I was wearing a lab coat. A lab coat. Not my usual cheap janitor clothes. A good clean white expensive lab coat. I searched my pockets and pulled out my ID. A weird square logo, Contain The Anomaly - Anomaly Containment Specialist Rank 2 - Dr Komrad Tarashook.

“Could you explain how am I mocking you, Anomaly Containment Specialist Dr Komrad?” The man looked at me impatiently. Questions started to flood my head. Why am I here? Why am I a Containment Specialist? What is CTA? And the most important part… do I accept this new reality or tell them that I’m actually from the SCP Foundation? In this reality I’ve finally got my dream job, but should I tell them about the different reality…? “No if this is a similar organisation as the Foundation then I’ll be probably locked up and classified as an CTA…” I thought.

“Dr Komrad are you all right? You look a bit pale.”
“No no I’m fine, I was daydreaming for a second I apologise”
“Huh? Anyway Dr Komrad let’s start the experiment on the CTA-023, shall we?”
“Yes.”
