Clearance Level 2

Contained Anomaly: CTA-022

Object Class: Amicus

Containment Procedures:
CTA-022 is to be stored inside a reinforced, non-anomalous glass containment case within CF-OBJ-09. The containment chamber is to remain sealed except under approved testing conditions.

All experimentation involving CTA-022 requires authorization from personnel with Level 3 Clearance or higher. Under no circumstances are Corporation personnel to make direct physical contact with CTA-022. Maintenance of the containment chamber is to be performed by a remotely piloted android every one to two weeks. Maintenance includes dust removal, structural integrity inspections, and verification that the containment chamber remains uncompromised.

Description:
CTA-022-1 is a standard six-sided die with no observable physical characteristics suggesting anomalous properties. Activation requires direct physical contact by a human subject, followed by the die being dropped/breaking physical contact with the die known as an "roll" event. gloves also nullify the possibility of activating CTA-022-1, other such items will hold a similar effect seen in the gloves as long as you don't make direct physical contact with the anomaly.

Once a successful roll has been performed, the number displayed determines the anomalous effect inflicted upon the individual who activated CTA-022-1 these anomalous effects are often times graphic and may result permeant physical damage and long lasting mental effects on the effected individual Type C Retrosketchers1. are to be administered to affected individuals upon their request.

Non-human entities, including androids, prostatic appendages, and other inanimate objects, are unaffected by the anomaly and therefore cannot activate it.

The known effects are as follows:
Number Rolled Effect Delay Before Effect Manifestation
1 Subject's head explodes. 5 seconds
2 Either the left or right arm fractures. 10 seconds
3 Subject experiences severe nasal bleeding. 1 minute
4 One ankle fractures. 10 seconds
5 Subject becomes permanently blind. 10 minutes
6 Subject's neck rotates 180 degrees, resulting in immediate death. Instant

A secondary phenomenon, designated CTA-022-2, manifests whenever an investigators attempt to determine the origin of CTA-022. The individual occupying the position of manager at the retail establishment where CTA-022 has appeared is replaced by an instance of CTA-022-2.

CTA-022-2 outwardly resembles the store's legitimate manager and behaves normally until repeatedly questioned regarding the origin or supplier of CTA-022. Continued questioning causes the entity to disappear instantaneously. Following the disappearance, all available records of the individual cease to exist, as though they had never been employed or had existed at all.

The mechanism responsible for this phenomenon remains unknown due to it only happening once.
