Contained Anomaly: CTA-024
Object Class: Class B
Containment Procedures: The cadaver of CTA-024 is kept in a silicon-lined containment cell within Containment Facility BIO-04. Mentions of the entity's name should be censored or deleted. Should CTA-024 animate, the individual who incited the animation must be locked in a secure holding cell with the walls, floor, and ceiling composed entirely of silicon until CTA-024 expires.
Description: CTA-024 is a faceless humanoid cadaver with an internal composition of nothing but muscles, fat, and bones. While CTA-024 is usually inanimate, if an individual, regardless of location, mentions the entity's name, it will enter a state of high activity; any further mentions of the entity's name will cause it to de-manifest and manifest in a location nearby the individual who stated its name.
While animate, CTA-024 will attempt to reach the individual who stated its name with an instinctual understanding of the target's location. CTA-024 appears to be able to move through any form of matter unimpeded except for substances such as silicon with a high capacity for absorbing Eum Radiation1; the entity will attempt to break down barriers composed of substances like silicon. CTA-024 will become animate for approximately two hours following the entity's initial animation; further mentions of the entity's name will result in its animation period extending three hours.
Upon reaching a subject who has spoken CTA-024's name, the entity will attempt to make physical contact with the subject, and upon doing so, the subject will begin to assimilate into CTA-024 through a method similar to phagocytosis; following assimilation, CTA-024's lifespan will increase by an additional twenty-four hours. While there's no target for CTA-024 and the entity is animate, CTA-024 will attempt to assimilate any nearby sentient creature it can perceive.
Discovery: On 11/05/2003, CTA-024 was discovered during an investigation into Elenchos Parasiton activity. Buried in the centre of what appeared to have been a thaumaturgic ritual was the entity's corpse, with the ritual's use assumedly being to terminate the entity. At first, tests on the possibility of paranormal activity within the body remained inconclusive; however, following further investigation into the area of recovery, a document was discovered containing the creature's name, causing CTA-024's anomalous properties to activate once spoken. CTA-024's corpse has been contained in Containment Facility BIO-4 ever since.
Addendum 024-1: Abnormal Activity
For an unknown reason, on 18/09/2005, the level of Eum Radiation within CTA-024's containment chamber increased; at the same time, CTA-024 displayed aberrant behaviour, sitting up from its laying position without further movement. Immediately after this, a guard stationed outside CTA-024's containment chamber began to convulse before stating, "Limbo cold. Let me. Say the name. Let out. Call [REDACTED], I answer. Out." and expiring. The entity appeared to use the guard as a medium to communicate, although how CTA-024 did this is unknown. All abnormal activity on the part of the entity ceased soon after.
Addendum 024-2: Increase in Incidents
Incidents similar to that mentioned in Addendum 024-1 became increasingly common following the event, resulting in the termination of 63 Corporation Personnel. The incidents became a near-daily occurrence, with an increase in frequency following each event. Due to these incidents, several members of the Administration Department permitted a test on the anomaly. Vocalization of CTA-024's name by a JD-Class personnel caused the entity to animate, attempting to reach the JD-Class's location; however, several walls of silicon and armed personnel stopped CTA-024 before the entity's expiration. Following this test, incidents caused by CTA-024 reduced in frequency; the repetition of this test weekly is to occur to curb the frequency of incidents caused by CTA-024.
