Containment Procedures: Due to CTA-031's anomalous properties, it is currently impossible to contain. All sightings of CTA-031 are to be immediately responded to by Corporation personnel. Any deal made with CTA-031 must be approved by at least one administrative personnel. If a civilian makes a deal with CTA-031, they are to be terminated. No hostile action is to be taken against CTA-031.

Upon sighting an instance of CTA-031-A, MF-031-A¹ is to be sent in to terminate the instance. In the event of more than five CTA-031-A instances being spotted in one area, a napalm strike is to be deployed.

Description: CTA-031 takes on the appearance of a man of apparent Russian descent, with white hair. CTA-031 is often mistaken for a ghost. CTA-031 can exchange something of its target's possession with something else that CTA-031 considers of equivalent value. CTA-031 randomly chooses a target. CTA-031 will then manifest near the target, outside of the view of people and surveillance equipment. CTA-031 will then approach its target and attempt to make a deal with them. CTA-031 will allow negotiations, to the extent that the target can pay their part of the deal. If the target fails to pay their part of the deal or someone attempts to attack CTA-031, they will be transformed into an instance of CTA-031-A via unknown means.

CTA-031-A is an amorphous pile of black sludge with the consistency of honey. CTA-031-A's form of locomotion is similar to that of Gastropoda². All CTA-031-A instances have an extreme case of photosensitivity and will attempt to flee from large sources of light if possible. CTA-031-A instances are highly aggressive to all forms of life, except for that of CTA-031 itself. Instances of CTA-031 are highly resistant to most conversion weaponry, although they are susceptible to incendiary weaponry.
