You may be wondering what this is, so I'm going to walk you through it.
WHAT IS 001CON?
001CON is a contest to see who can write the best CTA-001 proposal, which will then become the first one on the site. (No, Beathor's proposal doesn't count.) The 001 page has been empty for quite some time, so I believe that it's time to fill it in once and for all.
WHY IS THIS BEING HOSTED?
Not only will this competition increase activity in the CTA fandom, it will also give authors their prime opportunity to truly shine with their efforts.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
There is no specific 'theme' for this contest, although there are some rules. For starters, CTA-001 proposals generally are based around one of these two concepts:
- The origin of the CTA Corporation.
OR
- The end of the world.
Of course, not all 001 proposals have to be based around this. You can make them however you want. However, there are some regulations for 001CON entries which must be followed. They're listed here.
- 001 proposals are much larger than standard CTAs, so much more information is usually needed.
- 001CON entries must have at least 3 addendums.
- 001CON entires must have some kind of story behind them. How did this CTA lead to the beginning of the Corporation? Or, alternatively, how did it end the world?
These are relatively simple requirements to follow, but you're gonna have to make some good work in order to win this competition. Note that entries may be edited at moderator's discretion to fix grammatical errors and other errors in general. 001CON entries are allowed and even encouraged to have format screws in them somehow.
If you already have your own page on the Sandbox wiki, it is recommended to make a seperate one for your entry. Links to that page will be posted in the entries.
It is also recommended to have alternative numbers prepared in case your 001 doesn't win the contest.
