The Shining Moon Organization (SMO) is a global criminal and terrorist organization that exploits anomalous entities and phenomena to carry out terrorist attacks, corporate raids, assassinations, and other acts of large-scale destruction.
Operating across North America, South America, Asia, and Europe, the SMO maintains a vast underground network of cells, safehouses, research facilities, and black-market contacts dedicated to acquiring and weaponizing anomalies.
The organization's ideology centers on an extreme religious devotion to the Moon, which they call "Lunaris" believing it to be the only truly pure object in the universe. To them, daylight represents corruption, while the Moon symbolizes perfection, tranquility, and divine judgment.
Driven by this belief, the SMO seeks to plunge the world into eternal night, convinced that only under an endless moonlit sky can humanity be purified. To achieve this goal, they relentlessly capture, study, and experiment on anomalous beings and artifacts, searching for one with the power to permanently blot out the Sun and transform Earth into a world illuminated only by the Moon.
